Ludington hosts its annual craft beer tasting festival, aptly named Suds on the Shore August 18 from 1pm-7pm at City Park, Gaylord and Court Streets. This popular event is fun for participants, and is a fundraising effort for United Way.

The 2012 schedule will be posted as it becomes available.

The festival features vendors from all around Michigan, providing samples of craft beer, wine and hard cider. Throughout the afternoon there will be food available and a Homebrew Beer demonstration.

Tickets are $30 at the gate, $25 in advance, and can be purchased at Jamesport Brewing Company, Surroundings and United Way of Mason County. Or go online at Sudsontheshore.com Your ticket includes entry, eight tokens and a souvenir magnet. This event is only for those 21 and older.
